You Have To See How These Two NFL Teams Spoofed Halo And Street Fighter For Their Schedule Releases

NFL teams get creative with schedule reveals via gaming tributes.

With the NFL season fast approaching this September, all 32 teams have officially unveiled their schedules. While organizations often find clever ways to announce their upcoming matchups, two franchises truly stole the show this year: the Los Angeles Chargers, who delivered a brilliant Halo-inspired tribute, and the Cleveland Browns, who took us back to the arcade with a Street Fighter II spoof.

The Chargers’ effort stands out as a genuine collaboration with Halo Studios. Rather than just a light homage, they produced authentic-looking in-game simulations, complete with custom Spartan armor and specialized callouts for each opponent. They even secured the legendary Jeff Steitzer—the iconic voice behind Halo’s multiplayer announcements—to narrate the video, resulting in a must-watch experience. Meanwhile, the Cleveland Browns leaned heavily into retro nostalgia. Their announcement features the grainy aesthetic and classic aspect ratio of a 90s fighting game, complete with arcade cabinet setups and a quirky host performance by MatPat. The video cleverly reimagines each NFL opponent as a unique Street Fighter-style combatant. You can watch the Browns’ fighting game tribute below:
