Xbox Project Helix to Feature AMD’s Breakthrough FSR Diamond Neural Rendering
Microsoft and AMD have officially cemented their extensive partnership for “Xbox Project Helix,” the next-generation gaming console. This upcoming flagship will leverage the power of the RDNA 5 architecture and will be fully optimized for AMD’s proprietary FSR Diamond technology.
FSR Diamond is positioned as the foundation for a sophisticated neural rendering pipeline, merging machine learning-driven upscaling, AI-powered frame generation, and advanced ray-tracing and path-tracing features. This technology is being deeply integrated into the Xbox GDK, enabling developers to more effectively implement high-fidelity rendering methods across the entire platform’s library.
Jack Huynh, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Computing and Graphics Business Group at AMD, commented:
The alliance between Microsoft and AMD spans more than twenty years, and Project Helix represents a significant leap forward in evolving graphics and technology for both console and PC gaming ecosystems.
