Following the exciting launch of our South Dakota expansion, we cordially invite you to participate in the brand-new World of Trucks community event—Cruising South Dakota—kicking off on Thursday, September 24th. Traverse the Mount Rushmore State to experience its expansive horizons, breathtaking natural wonders, and storied heritage.

The Challenge Ahead

Your objective is straightforward: transport cargo to or from any city within South Dakota and help the entire community achieve a staggering cumulative milestone of 150,000,000 miles (241,402,000 km). Knowing the unmatched dedication of our #BestCommunityEver, we have no doubt you will crush this target!

Hit the open highway under the banner of #CruisingSouthDakota, where rolling prairies merge seamlessly with the rugged Black Hills and the surreal Badlands, punctuated by grand crossings over the majestic Missouri River. Yet, this terrain offers far more than mere eye candy; it is steeped in ancient history. The Black Hills—revered by the Lakota people as Paha Sapa—are hallowed ground, while Badlands National Park safeguards one of the planet’s most prolific fossil reservoirs, where prehistoric titans like SUE the T. rex slumbered for millions of years. Along your route, prepare to encounter numerous unforgettable landmarks, including:

• Mount Rushmore National Memorial: The legendary monument masterfully sculpted into the towering granite cliffs of the Black Hills.
• Badlands National Park: A dramatic labyrinth of eroded rock spires and striking buttes unlike any other landscape in North America.
• Deadwood: The infamous gold rush settlement where the legendary Wild Bill Hickok played his final poker hand.
• Missouri River Crossings: Scenic routes where this mighty waterway divides the gentle pastures of the east from the untamed terrain of the west.

As with previous cruising campaigns, you are welcome to use your own personal trailers by selecting eligible contracts directly from the External Market!

The South Dakota expansion introduces 13 remarkable cities to discover. To accomplish your personal goal and claim an exclusive reward, you must successfully deliver a cargo freight to or from every single one of these destinations. Please note that all event-qualifying jobs must maintain a minimum distance of 100 miles (161 km).

Embark on this mesmerizing voyage across the Great Plains, journeying from sun-drenched vistas and pine-clad hills to historic frontier outposts. Let us conquer the Mount Rushmore State together!

Event Guidelines

• Utilizing either External Contracts or the External Market via a World of Trucks-linked profile in American Truck Simulator, the community objective is to accumulate 150,000,000 miles (241,402,000 km) through freight deliveries originating in or destined for any South Dakota municipality.
• Your personal objective is fulfilled once you have successfully completed deliveries to or from all 13 distinct South Dakota cities featured in the DLC.
• Every job undertaken for the event must span a minimum distance of 100 miles (161 km).
• You can easily verify whether your recent freight runs meet these criteria by checking the Log Book section of your World of Trucks profile.

Exclusive Rewards

• Personal Reward: Truckers who successfully complete deliveries to or from all 13 South Dakota cities will unlock a prestigious World of Trucks Achievement alongside the striking Call of the Badlands ATS truck paint job as a Steam inventory item.

• Community Reward: Once the collective mileage milestone of 150,000,000 miles (241,402,000 km) is achieved, all participants who have also secured their personal goal will be awarded an exclusive Ring-necked Pheasant decorative item for their Steam inventory.

Important Note: Qualification for the community-wide reward requires you to first finish your personal goal within American Truck Simulator. All prizes are distributed as Steam inventory items for ATS. Upon completion, make sure to claim your rewards directly via the Events page on your World of Trucks profile.

The event officially concludes on Sunday, November 22nd, at 23:59 UTC.
