“Whiplash” has grossed over $400 million
Curry Barker’s horror film, “Obsession,” has officially surpassed the $400 million milestone in worldwide box office revenue, currently sitting at $403 million.
The feature earned $245.3 million domestically in the U.S. and an additional $157.7 million from international markets. This global haul includes Russia, where the film grossed over 370 million rubles. Given its modest $750,000 production budget, “Obsession” stands as one of the most profitable films in cinematic history.
Released in May, the movie centers on a timid music store employee (Michael Johnston) who acquires a magical artifact in a desperate attempt to capture the interest of a coworker (Inde Navarrette). Although his wish is granted, the situation quickly spirals out of control, descending into a harrowing nightmare.
