As previously highlighted in our Community Q&A, Update 0.4 for Assetto Corsa Rally is officially arriving on April 30th!
This release is packed with fresh content, exciting collaborations, dynamic weather, and a comprehensive suite of refinements designed to elevate your rallying experience to new heights.

Two legendary machines from the 1990s are storming into Assetto Corsa Rally, each promising a distinct brand of chaos on the stages.
First, we have an All-Wheel Drive (AWD) titan built to command loose surfaces with raw, relentless traction. Complementing it is a ferocious Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) powerhouse that rewards precision, agility, and absolute commitment.
Homologated in 1997 and immortalized by legends like François Delecour, this IKE Racing-liveried Peugeot 306 II Maxi is a masterpiece of late-90s rally engineering. Specifically crafted for the FIA’s 2-Litre World Rally Cup, it was a beast on tarmac.

Evolving from the 306 S16, this iteration received substantial technical upgrades tailored for high-stakes tarmac competition. It was born during a golden era of French innovation, where naturally aspirated engines paired with FWD chassis defined the 2-Litre Kit Car category.

Lightweight and incredibly agile, the 306 Maxi excelled on asphalt, often outperforming much more expensive 4WD rivals through its superior chassis dynamics and razor-sharp handling. Its dominance was so profound that it arguably triggered the eventual ban of Kit Cars from top-tier international rallying.

Debuting in 1993, the Subaru Impreza S3—famously piloted by Colin McRae—marked the dawn of an icon. Designed to meet strict Group A regulations, it was Subaru’s definitive entry into the World Rally Championship.

Replacing the aging Legacy RS, the S3 emphasized agility and refined technical performance over radical invention. It proved its mettle in the mid-90s, with McRae securing the 1995 Drivers’ World Rally Championship at a record-breaking young age, while the model spearheaded multiple manufacturers’ titles.

Built on a legacy of excellence, the Impreza cemented Subaru’s position as a motorsport powerhouse through sheer technical brilliance and a storied racing pedigree.

Whether you crave the tarmac-shredding precision of the 306 Maxi or the grit-defying AWD capabilities of the Impreza’s Boxer engine, these two cars offer vastly different driving philosophies.
Responding to your requests for snow-covered stages, we’ve integrated our advanced snow weather technology into both the Alsace and Wales rallies. You’ll be able to tackle these familiar roads under entirely new, challenging conditions. (Note: Dedicated snow tires for these locations will arrive in a future update).

We are thrilled to announce a formal collaboration with Jon Armstrong, WRC Rally Driver at M-Sport.
Jon brings a wealth of expertise—not only from top-tier real-world rallying but also from his deep background in sim racing and game development. His direct feedback has been instrumental in refining our vehicle physics and handling models. We’ve meticulously tuned tires, aerodynamics, and suspension to create a more communicative driving experience, making it easier to manage nuances like traction loss, wheel lock-up, and driving right at the limit—factors Jon identifies as vital for both speed and enjoyment.

This update also introduces broader improvements, including enhanced peripheral support and the integration of Fanatec FullForce and Logitech TrueForce SDKs.
Please find the full changelog below. Thank you for your continued support and for helping us shape the future of Assetto Corsa Rally.
Enjoy the drive!
