Fans received a surprise treat on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025, when Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo stepped onto a small Hollywood stage to perform a spirited medley of “Get Happy” and “Happy Days Are Here Again.”
Universal Pictures hosted an intimate awards-season gathering at The Aster members’ club following a screening of Wicked: For Good at the nearby TCL Chinese 6 Theatre. The film, which opened internationally in late November, was followed by a dinner and cocktails, and later the movie’s two stars took the spotlight to sing their duet “For Good.”

The pair then delivered the “Get Happy / Happy Days Are Here Again” mashup — a piece they first introduced together during NBC’s November special Wicked: One Wonderful Night. Grande wore a flowing white gown and channeled Judy Garland’s part, while Erivo, in a layered black-net dress, took on the soaring vocal lines associated with Barbra Streisand’s celebrated rendition.
As the final notes faded, the two performers embraced amid enthusiastic applause from the audience, closing out a spontaneous, joyful moment.
Although Tuesday night’s rendition was limited to those present at the Universal event, Grande and Erivo’s live performance from the NBC special is available to stream, and the production company released an album collecting the concert’s live recordings.
The Wicked: For Good soundtrack also arrived on streaming platforms the same day the sequel opened in theaters. On the Billboard 200 chart dated Dec. 6, 2025, the soundtrack opened at No. 2, just behind Stray Kids’ Do It EP.
