Warner Bros. has officially greenlit a third installment of Gremlins, scheduled to premiere on November 19, 2027. Chris Columbus will serve as both director and screenwriter, with Steven Spielberg listed among the producers.
The original film, directed by Joe Dante, premiered in 1984; its screenplay was also written by Columbus. The story centers on a lovable, furry creature named Gizmo who must not be exposed to sunlight, soaked with water, or fed after midnight. The creature’s new owner soon learns firsthand why those rules are so critical.
