With the arrival of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide — The Card Game, fans can once again plunge into the grim depths of Hive City Tertium to battle the forces of Chaos. Simultaneously, the Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay: Day of Ascension Card Game introduces a social deduction experience reminiscent of Mafia or Among Us, challenging players to root out Genestealer traitors hiding among the Loyalists.
Renowned publisher Cubicle 7 Entertainment has officially announced the release of these two new tabletop titles: Warhammer 40,000: Darktide — The Card Game and Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay: Day of Ascension Card Game.
The cooperative Darktide experience is currently listed at €33.99, while the social deduction Day of Ascension title is available for €18.99.
Designed for 1 to 4 players, Warhammer 40,000 Darktide: The Card Game offers a cooperative campaign spanning six missions. Participants will defend Tertium against waves of Chaos cultists, choosing from four distinct character archetypes, each bringing a specialized playstyle to the table.
The Darktide box is packed with over 260 cards, six player boards, various tokens, and supplementary rules for alternative modes. Meanwhile, Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay: Day of Ascension Card Game caters to larger groups, accommodating 5 to 12 players in a high-stakes game of hidden identities.
In Day of Ascension, players must unmask the traitors among them before the Genestealer cult can spread its corruption and doom the Loyalists. Gamers will utilize unique roles and Fate cards to gather intelligence, bluff their way through accusations, and outmaneuver their opponents.
Each round introduces new tactical layers and deception. For instance, players might take on the role of an Astropath, capable of manipulating the Fate deck, or a Magos Biologis, whose skills are essential for revealing the hidden secrets and true allegiances of other players.
