Vaundy Expands Live Audience Beyond Japan

Vaundy launched his first Asian arena tour, titled Vaundy ASIA ARENA TOUR 2026 “HORO,” on Sept. 5.
The tour opened with a two-night run at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, and reaches across East Asia with stops in Seoul, Hong Kong, Fukuoka, and Taipei. Tickets for every date sold out the day they went on sale for the tour, whose title means wandering in Japanese. Over the past year, the 26-year-old artist became the youngest male solo artist to tour Japan’s four major domes through Vaundy DOME TOUR 2026 “SILENCE,” which drew over 350,000 fans across seven shows in Fukuoka, Tokyo, Osaka, and Sapporo.
Tickets for the two-night run at Seoul’s INSPIRE ARENA, which holds roughly 15,000 people, sold out immediately for the Sept. 19 and 20 dates. During a previous visit to Seoul, an accidental meeting with a local fan who had traveled to Japan for a concert highlighted the broad international following behind the domestic dome tour.
Since debuting in 2019 at age 19 with “Tokyo Flash,” Vaundy has placed 19 songs past 100 million streams. These tracks include “Tokyo Flash,” “Time Paradox” from Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s Earth Symphony, “Hadaka no Yusha” from Ranking of Kings, and “CHAINSAW BLOOD” from Chainsaw Man.
Multilingual comments on YouTube and social media indicate that anime tie-ins have expanded his international audience based on the strength of the music.
Released in May 2020, his signature track “Kaiju no Hanauta” has surpassed 1.1 billion cumulative streams. Designed around call-and-response and singalongs, the song remains a central live anthem six years after its release.
Another enduring hit, “odoriko,” is his most-listened-to track across Asia, connecting with listeners independently of any anime association.
Vaundy incorporates elements from Japanese kayokyoku, vintage pop, J-pop, British rock, club music, and hip-hop, drawing from 50 years of musical inspiration. For “Kiseki,” released in November 2025, he recorded a full orchestral arrangement at Abbey Road Studios.
As a former online cover singer, or utaite, he utilizes rapping, rock shouting, and falsetto across his catalog.
Vaundy also designs his merchandise and artwork while directing his music videos, including science-fiction-themed visuals from “How do I know” to “The SILENCE.”
He has performed live consistently since his first headlining show in 2020. His 2022 Nippon Budokan shows drew over 150,000 applications for 26,000 available seats, and his 2024–2025 arena tour, Vaundy one man live ARENA tour “FUSION,” drew 76,000 fans across two nights at Saitama Super Arena in stadium mode.
His concerts rely on vocals and instrumental performance alongside a backing band. Tracks like “Kaiju no Hanauta” and “CHAINSAW BLOOD” regularly prompt audience singalongs.
A live album documenting the Tokyo Dome show of Vaundy DOME TOUR 2026 “SILENCE” is releasing ahead of the Asia tour.
Following Vaundy ASIA ARENA TOUR 2026 “HORO,” a 30-date domestic arena tour across Japan is scheduled for 2027.
