Valve Adds Hero Baba and Bench to Deadlock as Game Sets New Steam Record
Baba brews tea and effectively attacks enemies.
Valve has returned to Deadlock and introduced the City Never Sleeps update for the game. The update brings numerous diverse improvements, changes to the map, and prepares six characters.
Players are gradually gaining access to them, and Baba recently became available. The heroine has clearly drawn a lot of attention, and the game’s concurrent player count has increased significantly.
Deadlock’s peak concurrent player count on Steam has exceeded 236,000 users:

Baba can weave a thread that follows the crosshair and then explodes along its entire trajectory, dealing damage and stealing Spirit Power from enemies.

Additionally, the legs of the bench that Baba uses can extend, which increases movement speed and jump height.

Baba’s Brew allows her to brew tea that, when thrown, applies a magical effect in an area: “During preparation, the effect cycles between a protective barrier, silence, and a scalding effect that deals periodic spirit damage and reduces Spirit Resist.”

New characters (from left to right): Nurse Harrow, Deadman Danny, Baba, Solomon, Rat King, Violet
Deadlock can be added to your Steam wishlist via the following link. The game continues to be tested in a semi-closed mode: the game cannot be added directly to the library, but current test participants can invite other players.
