Exclusive Riftbound Radiance Reveal – Ziggs, the Explosive

It feels like just yesterday that Riftbound, the breakout League of Legends card game, first shook up the TCG landscape with its Origins release. The momentum continues on October 23 with the launch of the Radiance expansion, bringing an extensive wave of fresh cards for strategists to master. Today, we are thrilled to exclusively unveil one of the standout additions: Ziggs, Explosive.

Veteran League fans know Ziggs as the quintessential mid-lane demolition expert—lobbing long-range explosives to control space, dismantle enemy structures, and sow absolute pandemonium. The new card brilliantly translates this chaotic playstyle to the tabletop, deploying specialized Bomb gear tokens that radically shift the balance of power on the battlefield.

Operating under the purple “Chaos” faction, Ziggs costs 4 resources and boasts 4 Might. His ability allows players to exhaust resources to drop a Bomb gear token onto the board. These Bombs feature a devastating Deathknell effect: they deal 2 damage to an enemy unit sharing that battlefield and simultaneously detonate all other friendly Bombs you control in the same zone. Furthermore, when Ziggs is forced to defend, he can sacrifice a friendly gear to grant himself a temporary +2 Might boost for the turn.

The synergy is delightfully disruptive: plant your explosives, fortify your position, and dare the opponent to contest the zone. Setting up Ziggs alongside a primed Bomb guarantees a massive momentum swing the moment challengers try to push into your territory.
