AUGUST has announced a revival of the rhythm game Uta Macross. The new version is being developed for Steam, iOS and Android, with release planned for spring 2027.

The project is based on Uta Macross: Smartphone De Culture, whose live service ended in 2022. The game is being rebuilt as an offline title with support for keyboard and mouse controls on PC.

The standard edition is planned to include approximately 50 songs from across the Macross franchise. More than 1,000 illustrations rated four stars or higher and over 20 costumes for each singer will be available from the start.

The Plate gacha used to increase item rarity will be free with unlimited pulls. Additional DLC packs are planned to restore more songs, illustrations and costumes from the original live-service version.

A crowdfunding campaign will run from September 10 to October 31, 2026. The developers say its results may support additional platforms and songs. Pricing for the game has not yet been announced.
