Wardogs Season 3 Adds a Mode That Restricts Which Weapons Players Can Use
Bulkhead and Team17 have outlined what’s coming to Wardogs in Season 3, including Limited Mode, a new option that limits the weapons, equipment, and upgrades players can use.
What to expect in Wardogs Season 3
In its “Road to Season 3” video, Bulkhead says it has taken lessons from the response to Season 2. The studio plans to follow its own direction for the game rather than react to every vocal community demand. Progression will shift closer to the Season 1 approach, and each season will run for three months.
A larger overhaul of the game’s progression system is planned for 2027. Until then, Wardogs will introduce multi-track unlocks, allowing players to earn some items through more than one progression path. Limited Mode servers are also intended to make matches more welcoming for players who have not advanced as far as others.
Limited Mode places restrictions on available weapons and ammunition, caps armor at tier 2, and removes access to certain vehicles. Players can use the cash and experience they earn in this mode in the standard game, making it a useful starting point for newcomers.
Season 3 will also bring improvements to the game’s anti-cheat systems, which Bulkhead highlights at length in its video. The studio has not published the season’s patch notes yet; they are expected closer to launch.
Wardogs Season 3 starts Nov. 12. The game is currently available in early access on Windows PC. Its full PC release is planned for 2027, with console versions expected in 2028.
