We have an important update about the future of Cities: Skylines II: the game will continue development under a new studio.
Following more than a decade of productive collaboration across numerous titles, Paradox Interactive and Colossal Order have mutually agreed to pursue independent directions. To ensure the franchise’s long-term success, Iceflake Studios will take over development of Cities: Skylines II at the beginning of 2026. This transition was made thoughtfully to provide the best possible future for the series.
Before the end of the year we’ll be shipping the Bike Patch along with an initial rollout of Asset Mods for players to try.
