While Supermassive Games has crafted numerous spiritual successors in the years following their breakout 2015 hit, we are finally getting a true, numbered sequel to the original masterpiece. This time around, development duties have been handed over to Firesprite. A freshly debuted trailer offers a compelling look at the agonizing choices players will face, alongside subtle hints tying the new narrative back to the chilling events of the first game.

Crucially, the preview also pinned down an official launch window: January 28.

Although the initial announcement teaser heavily implied a sun-drenched tropical setting, this latest footage reveals a much more diverse array of environments. Players will traverse multiple distinct locations as they shadow an intrepid television production crew investigating the supernatural.
