Travis Kelce discussed his and Taylor Swift’s wedding day two months after the event.
In an upcoming interview with ESPN’s Chris Berman alongside teammate Patrick Mahomes, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end talked about his recent nuptials in a teaser clip that ESPN aired Friday (Sept. 11). “It was the best night of my life,” Kelce said.
“Marrying Taylor was, you know, it was more than I could have ever dreamed it to be because of all the people that showed up,” he continued, “and the amount of, you know, love that was in the air.”
“Glad you said ‘Taylor,’ because I couldn’t come up with a name,” joked Berman.
The Ohio native and pop star married over Fourth of July weekend in New York City, hosting a celebration at Madison Square Garden with a reported 1,000 people in attendance. Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony, while Paul McCartney and Stevie Nicks performed for a guest list that included Mahomes.
“My perspective, it was a lot of fun,” the quarterback said during the ESPN interview, which airs Sept. 14 before the Chiefs play the Denver Broncos in their first game of the 2026-27 season. “I did a little dancing. I didn’t know if I was gonna be able to dance, and it was good to get my first dancing experience of the offseason.”
The Chiefs previewed the interview on X, captioning a photo of the three men on the interview set with “(Not so) patiently waiting for Monday night ⏰ @PatrickMahomes x @tkelce x @ESPNNFL.”
Kelce also spoke about the wedding on the season premiere of New Heights. “Me and Taylor are so thankful to everybody that showed up,” he said on the episode. “It was just so magical, man. Thank you to everyone at MSG that allowed us to do this. We wanted to do it somewhere where we could have a very intimate and genuine setting without a lot of distractions, we needed it to be a private feel.”
The Grotesquerie actor also confirmed his dog dad status after featuring his and Swift’s Samoyed, Wendy, in a Tommy Hilfiger campaign. “She’s a model dog,” Kelce said. “Little Wendy’s a little over a year old now — we’ve had her for quite a while. Tried to keep it under wraps, but got sniped at the airport.”
