The fifth installment of the beloved Toy Story franchise has officially eclipsed the $500 million mark in worldwide box office receipts, according to recent industry reports.
The film has amassed a total of $585 million, with $297 million generated from North American theaters and an additional $288 million contributed by international markets. The movie is well-positioned to potentially cross the $1 billion milestone—a feat currently held in 2026 only by “The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2.”
In this latest chapter, Sheriff Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the rest of the gang find themselves competing for their owner Bonnie’s attention against a menacing new device known as Lilypad. Directed by Andrew Stanton, the sequel features the returning voices of Tom Hanks and Tim Allen. Critics have showered the film with praise, awarding it a stellar 93% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
