Mr. Howard says Bethesda regularly receives requests from fans to release updated versions of those games.
In a recent interview, Todd Howard, creative director at Bethesda Game Studios, confirmed the studio has been seeing a steady stream of fan requests for remasters of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, and that those appeals haven’t been ignored.
First off, I want to say: we see all of this. We read every comment. We’re working on a range of different projects, and we’re eager for the day we can show everything to you.
Howard also stressed that he prefers to keep things under wraps for as long as possible and enjoys surprise announcements and unexpected releases — much like the rollout for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.
As is often the case, Todd Howard did not directly confirm remasters of Fallout 3 and New Vegas, but his wording sounded more definite than prior comments on the topic.
