Timothée Chalamet is set to executive produce the cinematic adaptation of Pulitzer Prize winner Richard Powers’ novel, Playground. The narrative follows Todd Keane, a fictional tech mogul who constructs a social media empire of the same name. Powers’ story examines the intricate intersection of Keane’s personal relationships and the digital frontier.
Warner Bros. has secured the rights to the adaptation, though the lead actor has yet to be officially announced. Given Chalamet’s involvement behind the scenes, there is strong speculation that he may also take on the starring role.
The project is currently in the nascent stages of development, with both a screenwriter and a director still to be appointed.
