Thick As Thieves Launches in May for $5 With Introductory Campaign and Future Content Expansions

OtherSide Entertainment, the visionary studio spearheaded by industry legend Warren Spector—the mastermind behind Deus Ex and Thief: The Dark Project—has announced that its stealth-focused title, Thick As Thieves, will debut on Steam on May 20 with an accessible price point of just $4.99. The developers also clarified that the launch version will serve as an “introductory campaign,” laying the groundwork for the project’s future.

This initial release includes 16 distinct missions spanning two replayable maps, along with six unlockable gear items. While OtherSide estimates this introductory segment provides at least four hours of gameplay, it is merely the opening chapter of the journey through Kilcairn, an atmospheric city set in a reimagined 1900s. According to an official press release, the studio intends to incrementally expand the game’s narrative and setting. “This approach allows us to invite players into this world sooner while maintaining the agility to develop additional content based on direct community feedback,” the studio explained.

To celebrate the announcement, the team has shared a deep-dive developer walkthrough showcasing over five minutes of fresh gameplay:
