The title of Kira Kovalenko’s new film has been revealed
Details regarding the next project from director Kira Kovalenko have surfaced on the official website of Eurimages, the European fund dedicated to supporting cinematic co-productions.
Titled Heavens Don’t Care, the film is set to be a collaborative production involving France, Belgium, and Armenia. Kovalenko is among the 33 filmmakers selected for the fund’s support, with the project receiving a grant of €400,000. Industry speculation suggests the film could be completed in time for a potential premiere at the 80th Cannes Film Festival, scheduled for May 11–22, 2027.
Kira Kovalenko’s most recent feature, the acclaimed drama Unclenching the Fists, secured the top prize in the Un Certain Regard section at the 74th Cannes Film Festival.
