The second season of “The Librarians: The Next Chapter” will premiere in Russia simultaneously with the worldwide release
On August 4, the second season of the fantasy series The Librarians: The Next Chapter makes its exclusive debut on the viju streaming platform, with new episodes dropping concurrently with their worldwide premiere.
This continuation of the high-stakes adventure saga follows Vikram Chamberlain (Callum McGowan), a guardian of ancient relics who, after being transported from 1847 to the modern era, finds himself entrenched in a battle against dark magical forces. Alongside his team, he must navigate mystical occurrences, track down dangerous artifacts, and thwart threats capable of altering the fabric of history.
The project remains under the creative stewardship of producer and writer Dean Devlin, known for Independence Day and Stargate. Notably, Noah Wyle—who captivated fans as Flynn Carsen in both the original films and the primary Librarians series—has joined the production team for this new season.
Returning to the screen alongside McGowan are Blu Hunt, Jessica Green, and Olivia Morris. The guest star lineup is equally impressive, featuring Dominic Monaghan in the role of Merlin, alongside Jeremy Swift, Stefan Kapičić, Oliver Dench, and Ty Tennant.
Furthermore, the new episodes will feature cameos from original Librarians cast members, with Lindy Booth reprising her role as Cassandra Cillian and Christian Kane returning as Jacob Stone. Their involvement is set to deepen the narrative bridge between The Next Chapter and the beloved original franchise.
