‘The Mask’ director Chuck Russell has died
Reports indicate that acclaimed American filmmaker Chuck Russell passed away unexpectedly last week.
While the specific cause of death remains undisclosed, the director was 74 years old. Russell leaves behind a significant cinematic legacy, most notably as the visionary behind hits like “The Mask” and “A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors.”
Throughout his prolific career, he directed a diverse array of features, including the cult horror classic “The Blob,” the high-octane action film “Eraser” starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, and the fantasy adventure “The Scorpion King” featuring Dwayne Johnson.
His final directorial project was the 2024 horror film “Witchboard.”
