The psychological thriller The Housemaid is set to debut on Russian streaming platforms on March 5th, according to the film’s distributor, Volga.
The movie became a significant box office sensation, raking in over 1.3 billion rubles during its theatrical run. Based on Freida McFadden’s bestselling novel, the cinematic adaptation features Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried in the starring roles.
The plot centers on Millie, a young woman who accepts a position as a domestic worker for the affluent Winchester family. As she settles into her new role, the dark and unsettling secrets of the household gradually come to light. Lionsgate is currently moving forward with a sequel to the film.
