To commemorate its milestone 25th anniversary, the 2026 Tribeca Festival has unveiled its highly anticipated official games lineup. This year’s curation highlights 12 standout titles vying for the prestigious Tribeca Games Award, a distinction celebrating unreleased games that redefine interactive storytelling and creative innovation. From June 10–14, the public is invited to experience these selections firsthand with complimentary, hands-on demos at Manhattan’s Pier 57. The schedule is packed with exciting world premieres, most notably the musical mystery There Are No Ghosts At The Grand and the immersive, art-forward Lofsöng, which transports players across expansive, brutalist landscapes.

“Throughout its history, our games program has served as a launchpad for titles that go on to achieve both critical acclaim and a profound connection with audiences," noted Casey Baron, the Festival’s senior programmer for film and games. "The 2026 collection honors that tradition, demonstrating the extraordinary ambition and artistic breadth present in contemporary game development. I am thrilled to champion this vision in my new role.”

Beyond the playable demos, the festival will host a series of insightful panels and conversations. Highlights include "Luminaries: Dan Houser’s Absurd Ventures," featuring Rockstar Games co-founder Dan Houser and longtime writing collaborator Lazlow, who will delve into the future of narrative beyond traditional gaming boundaries. Additionally, *Control Resonant*: Beyond the Oldest House will pair the game's creative director, Mikael Kasurinen, with acclaimed filmmaker Nia DaCosta—a 2018 recipient of Tribeca’s Nora Ephron Prize—for an in-depth exploration of the project. The festival also introduces a boundary-pushing immersive project by director Lucas Rizzotto, *Escape The Internet: Part 2*, which masterfully blends cinematic storytelling with live audience participation to pioneer a fresh form of interactive entertainment.

The Tribeca Festival continues its track record of spotlighting industry-defining talent; over the last five years alone, featured titles have garnered an impressive 165 nominations and 35 major international awards. Previous selections include acclaimed hits such as Blue Prince, Despelote, Venba, Sable, NORCO, and Mixtape.
