Insider Reports Microsoft Will Release Gears of War E-Day Controller
Microsoft is preparing a new limited-edition Xbox controller themed after Gears of War: E-Day. Insider billbil-kun from Dealabs reported the news.
According to insider billbil-kun, Microsoft is working on a limited-edition Gears of War: E-Day controller named Storm King. It will be compatible with Xbox Series X|S and PC, and it will cost 89.99 euros.
Images of the controller have not appeared yet, but the insider described its design. The body is styled to look like cracked black and red volcanic rock, while the central section features a rich blood-red color and displays the series’ signature symbol, the Crimson Omen.
The button design will also be unusual. The right thumbstick and the X button will be red, while the A, B, and Y buttons and the left thumbstick will remain black. According to billbil-kun, this is one of the most striking Xbox controllers in recent years.
An official announcement is expected within the next two weeks, likely during the ongoing beta test for Gears of War: E-Day. The launch date is currently unknown.
