‘The Handmaiden’ Director to Helm New Horror Movie
Paul Feig, the filmmaker behind Anyone But You, Bridesmaids, and A Simple Favor, is gearing up for his next project: a horror-thriller titled “Detention” for Blumhouse and Atomic Monster.
Plot specifics are currently under wraps, though Michael Bay is attached to produce. A release date has not yet been announced.
Feig is currently focused on the sequel to Anyone But You, which will see the return of stars Sydney Sweeney and Kirsten Dunst. The follow-up is slated for a December 2027 theatrical release. The original film premiered earlier this winter, garnering over $400 million at the global box office, with Russian audiences contributing more than 1 billion rubles to its total earnings.
