The Gothic Remake Will Feature a Full Orcish Language — You Can Learn and Speak It
The world of “Gothic” is alive with a wide array of talkative inhabitants.
While developing the remake of the original Gothic, the team is refining many different elements. The orcs will receive not only refreshed character models, but an entire language of their own.
In the original Gothic there was an orc “language,” but it functioned more like a simple cipher — each Latin letter corresponded to a symbol in the orc script.
A German professor of linguistics was consulted for the remake, so the orcs now speak a genuine language — fans who wish can study it and even try speaking it themselves.
