Rockstar Completes Main Development of GTA VI and Releases New Screenshots
Players will soon have the opportunity to see the results of years of work by many specialists.
As the release of Grand Theft Auto VI approaches, the marketing campaign is gradually ramping up alongside media publications. The Rockstar Games title is the main feature of the new issue of EDGE magazine. Journalists visited the studio, got acquainted with the game, and spoke with the developers.
During the interview, Rockstar North co-development head Rob Nelson stated that the team is in the final stage, where the number of things developers are allowed to change shrinks with each passing day. According to him, the game is “ready” and will soon “stop belonging to the developers alone” and become the property of players. Nelson explains that this is the moment when the project must be “let go” after many years of work.

EDGE also published a new selection of screenshots, showing gang members, a group of bikers, main characters Lucia and Jason in various outfits, and a wide shot of the city. A great hammerhead shark will also be featured.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. The developers have not announced anything regarding a PC version.
