New GTA 6 Gameplay Featured on South Park and It’s Terrible

Has any interactive entertainment release ever commanded this level of staggering anticipation? It hardly seems likely. Despite numerous substantial leaks over the years, enthusiast communities across platforms like Reddit and X continue to pore over every rumor, demanding official footage and deeper looks at Rockstar’s upcoming masterpiece.

With just weeks remaining until the official launch of GTA 6, Rockstar has surprised the gaming community by dropping an exclusive preview clip during a recent episode of Comedy Central’s long-running animated series—specifically during a segment cheekily titled after South America rather than South Park.

In the October 28 broadcast titled “Beef Battle,” a character onscreen watches a GTA 6 snippet displayed on a television set. The footage captures a German Shepherd relieving itself before wandering off, leaving its owner to handle cleanup duties. Protagonists Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval stroll directly past the scene.

“You have the option to target the person holding the waste,” the on-screen character explains as Jason proceeds to do precisely that. After the owner drops the mess, Jason seizes the discarded waste and uses it to retaliate against the civilian.

While this bizarre interaction sounds like typical satirical fiction cooked up by the show’s writers, the end credits verify that the footage is authentic and provided directly by Rockstar.

The sequence is undeniably absurd, though seasoned veterans of the franchise will find it right at home. More than anything, it underscores the meticulous level of detail and interactive depth Rockstar is weaving into what is shaping up to be an extraordinarily ambitious open-world experience.

It is safe to assume that handling animal waste won’t be the only eccentric mechanic included in GTA 6. After all, previous titles like Red Dead Redemption 2 famously featured dynamic environmental details like realistic horse anatomy. Considering that the sandbox of Vice City and its surroundings is touted as the most immersive environment the studio has ever built, picking up and tossing refuse feels surprisingly fitting—even if it will likely be overshadowed by larger innovations like advanced weather physics and complex non-player character routines.

Even so, a showcase centered around canine cleanup probably wasn’t quite what fans had in mind when pleading for a substantial gameplay reveal.
