Actor Morgan Spector, known for his role in The Gilded Age, is reportedly in negotiations with Netflix to headline the streaming service’s upcoming adaptation of Secret of Secrets, based on the novel by Dan Brown (The Da Vinci Code).
Rebecca Hall (Vicky Cristina Barcelona), who has been married to Spector since 2015, is currently the top contender for the female lead. Brown is set to pen the screenplay and serve as an executive producer alongside Carlton Cuse (Lost).
Published last year, Secret of Secrets marks the sixth installment in the Robert Langdon series. In this latest chapter, the protagonist embarks on a high-stakes quest to locate a missing scientist whose latest manuscript threatens to revolutionize our understanding of human consciousness.
Tom Hanks famously portrayed Langdon in three feature-length adaptations: The Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons, and Inferno, which collectively grossed over $1.478 billion at the global box office. The character was also brought to the small screen in the 2021 Peacock series The Lost Symbol, starring Ashley Zukerman (Succession).
