The debut episode of the psychological thriller “The Black Countess” has officially premiered on Okko. Directed by Ilya Kulikov and Ivan Korvin, the series features a screenplay co-authored by Varvara Borodina.
The narrative unfolds within a grand 19th-century estate during an immersive costume production attended by a high-profile audience of the wealthy and influential. The evening spirals into chaos when a performer is shot dead mid-scene. With the assassin clearly hiding among the cast and staff, the survivors find themselves trapped. While they desperately search for a way to contact the outside world, the killer initiates a chilling new game of cat and mouse.
“The Black Countess” features an ensemble cast led by Kirill Karo (“To the Lake”), Yuri Chursin (“The Palm Reader”), Ekaterina Volkova (“Love is in the Air”), Oleg Vasilkov, and others.
