The Batman sequel delayed to 2028
Warner Bros. has pushed back the premiere of the highly anticipated Batman sequel, shifting the release date from October 1, 2027, to February 18, 2028.
Robert Pattinson is set to reprise his role as the legendary vigilante of Gotham. The upcoming installment will also feature a star-studded cast, including Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, and Colin Farrell, among others. Matt Reeves will return to the director’s chair, though specific plot details remain under wraps.
The original film, which premiered in March 2022, was a major commercial success, grossing $772 million worldwide. In light of the announcement, an official teaser and the sequel’s logo have been unveiled.
