Netflix is steadily assembling the ensemble for its highly anticipated live-action adaptation of the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
According to a report by Deadline, Australian actress Tenzin Crawford has officially joined the project. Crawford is gaining recognition for her work in the miniseries Tiny Beautiful Things and her upcoming role in the Game of Thrones prequel, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
Crawford is set to take on a recurring role, suggesting her character will hold significant weight within the narrative. However, character specifics remain tightly under wraps, mirroring the secrecy surrounding the rest of the cast. She joins a lineup that already includes Toby Wallace, Lola Petticrew, Zachary Hart, and Laura Marcus.
Production for the inaugural season is slated to begin in 2026 on location in Italy. While the official historical setting hasn’t been confirmed by the studio, industry insiders suggest the story may transport viewers back to the era of Ancient Rome.
