Taylor Swift’s beloved track “August” has officially vanished from a TikTok publication managed by digital channels affiliated with President Donald Trump.

Earlier in the week, the Team Trump digital wing—established during the 2024 presidential campaign—published a curated video sequence featuring Donald and Melania Trump taking in a pyrotechnic display while Swift’s 2020 Folklore anthem provided the soundtrack. Superimposed text across the visuals stated, “Mood because it’s August and Donald Trump is your president.”

The accompanying caption jested, “I’m sure @Taylor Swift is going to be super excited we used her song! #taylorswift #maga #august.”

By Friday (Aug. 7), social media users across the United States observed that the audio track had been scrubbed from the broadcast. A notification on the video currently displays the disclaimer, “This sound isn’t available.”

The comment section swiftly ignited with user commentary regarding the disappearance of the song. “TAYLOR REMOVING THE AUDIO QUEEEEEEN,” one observer posted. Another remarked, “sorry what was that? cant hear the song.” A third chimed in, “She removed it, clocked you guys.”

The Team Trump TikTok channel commands an audience of 14 million followers and has maintained a steady stream of uploads since the president secured his second term in office.

“August” is not isolated in its removal from the political campaign’s page. According to reports from Variety, another archival upload from November 2025 utilizing her single “Father Figure” has likewise been taken down. Furthermore, an official White House TikTok publication from 2025 featuring her composition “The Fate of Ophelia” has also vanished from the platform.

Swift has thus far issued no public statements addressing the situation.

In the wake of the audio deletions, the Team Trump account continued to provoke the pop icon by integrating a live concert recording of the title track from her acclaimed 2012 record, Red. The subsequent post showcased customized Red-themed artwork overlaid with a silhouette of Trump’s profile incorporated into the typography alongside a simulated playlist titled “Red (Trump’s Version).” At the time of publication, this particular post contained no operational audio.

“Did you know Taylor Swift wrote a whole album about the color of the Republican Party,” the post inquired in its caption.

Political friction between Trump and Swift dates back to 2018, with hostilities intensifying significantly after the multi-GRAMMY winner formally endorsed Kamala Harris for the presidency during the 2024 race. Trump subsequently vented his frustrations online, declaring, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” via Truth Social.

Following the high-profile wedding of Swift and Travis Kelce on July 4, the White House waded into online discourse by releasing a satirical social media graphic that poked fun at the newlyweds’ Madison Square Garden reception in New York City, superimposing a digitally altered marquee reading “Trump Is Your President.”
