Taylor Swift reacts to her 2026 CMA Award nomination with “I Haven’t Yee’d My Last Haw”

Taylor Swift celebrated her single of the year nomination for “I Knew It, I Knew You” on an Instagram Story after the Country Music Association announced the 2026 CMA Awards nominations on Thursday, Sept. 10.

Swift reshared the CMA and ABC nominee post for the track and wrote, “Looks like I haven’t yee’d my last haw. Thank you CMA!!!!” She also hinted at a potential appearance at the ceremony by ending her post with “See you there Nov 18” and a smiling cowboy emoji.

“I Knew It, I Knew You” competes for single of the year alongside Ella Langley and her tracks “Be Her” and “Choosin’ Texas,” Lainey Wilson and her track “Somewhere Over Laredo,” and Cody Johnson and his track “The Fall.” The category honors the artist, producers, and mix engineer. Swift shares the nomination with coproducer Jack Antonoff and mix engineer Laura Sisk.

Released in June as part of the Toy Story 5 soundtrack, “I Knew It, I Knew You” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 to give Swift her 15th career No. 1 on the chart. It also opened at No. 1 on Hot Country Songs, marking a full-circle moment for the singer, whose career started in Nashville before she transitioned to pop.

By September, “I Knew It, I Knew You” returned Swift to No. 1 on the country radio chart for her first country radio leader in more than a decade.

The CMA Awards air live on ABC and stream on Disney+ on Nov. 18, with a next-day stream on Hulu.
