Square Enix Reveals Dragon Quest VII Reimagined at State of Play — Release Date Announced
Dragon Quest remains one of the cornerstone series in jRPG history. After a lengthy pause, fans finally have reason to celebrate the franchise’s comeback.
At a Japanese State of Play presentation, Square Enix revealed Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, a fully revamped edition of one of the series’ most celebrated entries. The trailer showcased English voice acting, several minutes of fresh gameplay, and a confirmed release date. The reimagined Dragon Quest VII will launch on February 5, 2026.
Square Enix appears determined to restore Dragon Quest to the forefront. Following the successful remakes of the first three titles, the company is preparing a re-release of the seventh installment that looks polished and could become one of next year’s standout launches.
