The team promised to share more details soon but did not give a release date.
Shenmue III Enhanced Edition was announced in late 2025. The updated version of the 2019 game is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. It will offer improved graphics and frame rate, shorter loading times, more NPCs, refined controls, and other quality-of-life features. A modern camera option and settings for fans of the original will also be included.

The original Shenmue III launched on November 19, 2019, on PS4 and PC. The game, developed by Ys Net, continued the story of Ryo Hazuki, who is searching for his father’s killer.
