Danganronpa 2×2 Visual Novel Lowers System Requirements After Criticism Over 32GB RAM Listing
The developers of Danganronpa 2×2 have lowered the game’s system requirements, apparently after reviewing player feedback.
Last month, the visual novel drew attention from some players who questioned its announced system requirements. They considered the specs too high for this type of project.
The minimum requirements listed NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 6600 graphics cards, along with Intel Core i5-14400 and AMD Ryzen 5 4500 processors. 8 GB of RAM was enough for the minimum configuration.
The recommended requirements asked for significantly more RAM, at 32 GB. They also listed NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 and AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT graphics cards.
Players began actively criticizing the Danganronpa 2×2 developers for poor optimization. The feedback appears to have been heard, as the franchise’s account recently announced an update to the game’s system requirements.
Both the minimum and recommended requirements for Danganronpa 2×2 now list 8 GB of RAM. Processors on the level of the Intel Core i5-10500 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600X are also sufficient.
To run the game, players need graphics cards such as the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT. For Full HD, the game calls for an RTX 2060 or RX 6600, while for 4K the recommendation is an RTX 3060 or RX 6600 XT.

You can add Danganronpa 2×2 to your Steam wishlist. The game is scheduled to release on January 14, 2027. It will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
