Calling all aspiring DJs: the premier novice talent search, Your Shot, is officially returning to the United States. If you’ve been waiting for your moment to step behind the decks, now is the time to prepare.
To join the ranks, candidates must complete the registration process before attending an in-person selection event. This year’s auditions are scheduled for August in Denver and Miami, followed by New York and Los Angeles throughout September. With over 8,300 hopefuls already registered, interest is at an all-time high. You can secure your spot by signing up through the official competition portal.
Selected participants will embark on an intensive six-week mentorship program, mastering the essentials of mixing, track selection, and stage presence. The program is bolstered by top-tier industry support, with AlphaTheta providing cutting-edge controllers and Sony supplying professional-grade audio gear. The journey concludes with high-energy showcase events in each host city. Victors will earn coveted opening slots at major music festivals, including confirmed spots at F1 Las Vegas and Insomniac’s EDSea, with further prizes still to be unveiled.
Following a successful U.S. debut that trained over 500 first-time DJs and attracted 10,000 attendees to its coastal showcases, the program continues to grow. Last year’s breakout winners, Jelly Bean and Punky Butter, have since secured performances at prominent festivals like Elements Music & Arts Festival and CRSSD.
The 2026 advisory board is stacked with industry heavyweights, featuring DJ and Femme House visionary LP Giobbi, alongside leadership from Live Nation’s Vibee and the talent managers at The Circuit Group, who represent major acts like Fisher and Chris Lake.
“Every burgeoning artist deserves access to resources, professional guidance, and a community that fosters their potential,” noted LP Giobbi. “I am incredibly proud to champion the work Your Shot is doing to empower the next generation of talent as they refine their skills and launch their careers.”
