Silo Season 4 Gets First Trailer and Surprise Release Date

In a television landscape where series often take multiple years between seasons, such as Severance, Silo fans are receiving positive updates. Following the show’s third season concluding recently, Apple TV released the first trailer for season four. The preview reveals that the show will return in under a year.

The teaser recaps the massive twists from the previous episodes before shifting to new footage. Paul Billings shares a secret with the people of the Silo. Characters from the pre-Silo world look on in shock. The trailer shows other Silos, scenes of rebellion, and Juliette Nichols battling drones.

“What’s your name? Who are you?” the heroine asks Senator Thurman. “I don’t know,” he replies. The trailer concludes by revealing that the fourth and final season will premiere on July 9, 2027.

How is Silo returning so quickly?

Seasons three and four were filmed back-to-back. Season three began filming in October 2024 and wrapped in May 2025. Season four began filming in August 2025 and finished in March 2026. Post-production will take several months.

What is the series about?

Silo is a sci-fi series set in a giant underground bunker. It follows a subterranean society of 10,000 people governed by arcane rules laid out generations ago. The show stars Rebecca Ferguson as Juliette Nichols, an engineer who pursues the secrets of the bunker.

Silo is based on the book trilogy of the same name by Hugh Howey. The first two seasons adapted the first book, Wool. The third adapted the second book, Shift.
