Signal Veil uses a haunted phone to guide players through an abandoned school
An old phone alerts Aki Mizuno to spirits in Signal Veil, a newly announced survival horror game from Chilean developer Time Hunters and Tokyo-based publisher Serafini Productions. The game is planned for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
Aki is searching for her missing mother inside Nishikawa High School. The inherited handset reacts with vibration and static, giving clues to nearby supernatural activity. Its camera reveals hidden details, while its flash can briefly stun a threat.
Fixed cameras and limited supplies
Signal Veil combines third-person exploration with fixed camera angles and a visual style inspired by 1990s anime. Resources are scarce, and the school changes as Aki’s mental state deteriorates. Players investigate its rooms and perform rituals to confront the spirits.
The announcement trailer introduces the school and the phone’s role in exploration. No release date has been announced. The PC version can be wishlisted on Steam.
