Fifth Season of Ascendance of a Bookworm Announced
The continuation was announced immediately after the fourth season finale.
The Ascendance of a Bookworm anime will receive a fifth season. The continuation will adapt the fourth part of Miya Kazuki’s light novel series and send Rozemyne to the Royal Academy. The heroine will enroll there as a candidate for the duchy’s ruler and begin mastering mana management, the creation of magical tools, and the spells required for a future ruler. However, her studies will be complicated by her passion for books, as the academy’s massive library threatens to take up all her attention.

Production is once again being handled by WIT Studio, which took over from Ajia-do after the third season. Yoshiaki Iwasaki is serving as director, Mariko Kunisawa is handling series composition, Aiko Minowa is designing the characters, and Michiru is composing the music. A premiere date for the fifth season has not yet been announced.
