Seth Rogen recently shared some blunt thoughts regarding Sylvester Stallone’s filmography, suggesting that the vast majority of the legendary actor’s work falls short of quality. The comedian and filmmaker opened up about his perspective during an appearance on the Funny You Ask podcast.
According to Rogen, despite a career spanning over five decades and an extensive list of credits, Stallone has only delivered a handful of truly noteworthy performances. He further admitted that he lacks any sentimental attachment to his peer’s most iconic cinematic franchise.
“I don’t care about the ‘Rocky’ movies,”
Rogen stated. He dismissed action staples like Demolition Man and Tango & Cash as merely “funny” rather than genuinely well-crafted films, clarifying that he holds them in low regard.
The conversation also touched upon the long-standing rivalry between Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger, a topic that dominated Hollywood discourse throughout the 1980s and 90s. Rogen made it clear that he sides with Schwarzenegger, asserting that the sci-fi classic Predator is superior to anything in Stallone’s entire body of work.
