Set Your Notifications: The First Gaming Event of 2026, New Game+ Showcase, Starts Tonight
The gaming industry is set to kick off its 2026 season with the New Game+ Showcase on January 9. This collaborative event is spearheaded by six independent studios and distinguishes itself by operating entirely without paid advertising.
The primary mission of the showcase is to offer a platform where titles—ranging from experimental indies to high-budget AAA projects—can be revealed and discussed without the usual pressures of corporate marketing cycles.
RPG aficionados will likely find “The Blood of Dawnwalker” to be the star of the show. Currently in development at Rebel Wolves, the project is being helmed by CD Projekt RED veterans who were instrumental in the creation of “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” and “Cyberpunk 2077.”
In total, 45 distinct projects are slated for presentation. Confirmed highlights include “The Blood of Dawnwalker,” “Crimson Desert,” a new expansion for “Atomic Heart,” Mundfish’s “The Cube,” “The Expanse: Osiris Reborn,” “ExeKiller,” “The Eternal Life of Goldman,” and “Dragon Twin.” The presentation is expected to provide concrete details regarding the 2026 launch window for “The Blood of Dawnwalker.”
The global broadcast is scheduled to begin on January 9, 2025, at 0:00 MSK.
