“Serf 3” Earns 1 Billion Rubles in Russia
The third installment of the “Serf” (“Kholop”) franchise has officially surpassed the 1 billion ruble mark at the domestic box office, according to data from the Unified Automated Information System (EAIS).
The film reached this milestone just over a month after its theatrical debut on June 11. It now stands as the fifth Russian production to achieve billionaire status this year and the 44th in the history of the domestic box office.
The cast of the sequel features Pavel Priluchny, Kristina Asmus, and Milos Bikovic, with Klim Shipenko returning to the director’s chair. The plot centers on a wealthy couple, the Vyazemskys (Priluchny and Asmus), who are planning a divorce and the liquidation of their family enterprise. Distraught by these developments, their children enlist the help of Grisha (Bikovic) and his team to transport the bickering parents back to the era of Peter the Great.
The original “Serf” premiered in 2019, followed by its successful sequel in 2024. Every entry in the franchise has grossed at least 3 billion rubles.
