Senua is an Action-Adventure Game Set in the Hellblade Universe

Senua, the iconic lead from the Hellblade series, is set to step back into the spotlight as the namesake of her next grand adventure. Ninja Theory has officially unveiled its latest project, simply titled Senua, which appears to signal a distinct departure from the franchise’s established formula.

In a recent feature on the Xbox Wire blog, Ninja Theory studio head Dom Matthews described the shift: “This is an out-and-out action-adventure game. It’s a bold new step for Senua, as a character, into the action-adventure space.”

While the previous Hellblade titles already contained strong action-adventure elements, Matthews emphasizes that this upcoming project offers a sufficiently unique gameplay style, justifying the decision to step away from the Hellblade III moniker.

Fans can look forward to the launch of Senua next year. The game will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and PlayStation 5.
