We return with a new episode of SCS On The Road, following colleagues Mark, Cenda, and Alex Kopytko as they traveled through the United States and into Ontario, Canada for fieldwork.

SCS On the Road — Clifford Truck Show 2025
Collecting vehicle scans and authentic audio to enhance realism in our projects.

Their primary mission was professional: scanning vehicles and recording genuine engine and cabin sounds to make our simulations even more immersive. With the trip already taking them overseas, they extended their stay to attend a standout event — the Clifford Truck Show 2025 in Ontario.

The Clifford Truck Show is a highlight for trucking enthusiasts — a vibrant showcase of customized and classic rigs, warm camaraderie, and a community united by a love of the road. Mark and Cenda wandered the showgrounds, documenting standout vehicles and the atmosphere that makes the event memorable.

While there, Mark spoke with Chris Hall, one of the event’s Head Coordinators. Chris spoke about the show’s history, how it has evolved, and the dedication that keeps the gathering vibrant year after year — a reminder of the passion and effort behind community-run events.

The team also reconnected with familiar faces: Smarty, a longtime community member, modder, and SCS External Tester; Kyle, who previously worked with Mark; and Dan Eichhorn, who some readers may recall from earlier meetups. Encounters like these highlight how connected and supportive the trucking community remains.

We extend our gratitude to the Clifford Truck Show organizers for their hospitality, to everyone who shared their stories and time with us, and to the many people we met who made the visit so rewarding.
