In its debut week, “Scream 7” dominated the global box office, amassing over $97 million in ticket sales. With a production budget of $45 million, the film has successfully recouped its initial costs, though its marketing expenditures remain undisclosed. The slasher proved particularly potent domestically, drawing in $64.1 million, while the remainder of its earnings came from international territories.
This latest installment has set a new high-water mark for the iconic horror series, marking the most successful debut in the franchise’s long history. The previous record was held by “Scream VI,” which launched with $44 million.
Rounding out the global top three, the animated feature “GOAT” secured second place with a total of $130 million, while “Wuthering Heights” followed in third with $192 million.
