The seventh installment of the iconic “Scream” franchise is scheduled to arrive on digital platforms on March 31, according to reports from DVD Release Dates.
Sharing the same digital premiere window is the new adaptation of “Wuthering Heights” starring Margot Robbie. Following its international theatrical debut in late February, “Scream 7” centers on Sidney Prescott and her daughter as they find themselves targeted once again by the relentless Ghostface killer.
The film boasts a high-profile cast including Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Mckenna Grace, David Arquette, and Matthew Lillard. Directorial duties were handled by Kevin Williamson, the acclaimed screenwriter of the original 1996 masterpiece.
Financially, the slasher proved successful, grossing $149 million globally against a production budget of $45 million. However, critical reception was considerably less favorable, with the sequel currently sitting at a “rotten” 32% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
